My WAITANGI poem

Where the treaty is signed
All the tribe’s chiefs signed the treaty
Ideals made in hope of peace
Trades made for land and resources
Anger as land taken away
Next the army come to stop the wars
Governors tried making peace
Immigrants fought wanting better life

Our Collaborative Story

When we arrived at school on time we put our bags away and played handball in the mornings before coming into class. After the roll we went straight into reading. In reading we had to finish our sheets and after we finished our teacher gave us a colouring sheet to do. We had 20 minutes to colour  in our sheet that our teacher gave us. When the bell rang for morning tea we had our morning tea and we played some games like basketball and soccer and netball. We had 2 minutes to play before the bell rang. The last game we played was skittleball and then the bell rang after that.
We did the afternoon roll and then we did some maths. In maths we did a basic fact test and then our teacher did a

harder test for us but we didn’t finish it because the bell rang.

I wrote this story with Mariah.
I found it hard because I didn't know what to write.

Replying to Blog Comments

Today I learnt how to reply to blog comments. One important thing is we need to check                         our spelling correction.

Today I learnt that quality blog comments should be positive, thoughtful, helpful. I should include a greeting and could ask a question when I comment on someone's blog post.

Teacher for the day

                   Wednesday 9th August 2017
When I was the teacher for the whole day .

When I got to class some of the children were doing the wrong thing so I yelled loud! That made them all sit down in their chairs. They got their books out and started to write a recount, after writing  the bell rang they gave me their books and ran out of the door. Some of the children, bullied one child so I got them to pick up bark. My day was unusual at RedHill but it was awesome.
