Highwire - Keeping it Real Programme

Hi Everyone - I will be posting again in a few weeks as I am participating in a special programme called  Keeping it Real.

I will be back in week 8 of this term.

Auckland Zoo - Community

     My best part of going to the zoo is looking at the cheetahs play and sleep I was so excited to see the      baboons climb the tress and I laughed when I saw there red bum. All the groups were eating                  together except one of the groups it was fun looking for native birds at the Tane forest we went to go      and see the red panda's they are so cute it makes me wanna smile and cuddle them but you can't            touch them because we don't wanna make them sick. The meerkats looked really funny when they        stand sometimes they can be cute sometimes not my favourite animal was the the red pandas.

                                 

Maths Screencastify - Ignoring Zeros

*We are learning how ignore zeros when doing times tables.

*I found it easy using screencastify, but the ignoring zeros is kind of tricky because I forget to put them back.

• *Next time I will try to remember to put the zeros back by times by 10 for 1 zero or 100 if it was 2 zeros.

Maori language week - Ta moko

Maori Language Week - Ta Moko

1. Looked at pictures of ngā Ta Moko.
2. Looked at the meaning in the Ta Moko patterns.
3. Traditionally Ta Moko was made with a chisel.
4. Ta Moko starts out small and grows. The females usually only have their chin done.
5. Painting a mask with skin colour, or close to it.
6. Designed our Ta Moko
7. Drew on our Ta Moko onto our mask with vivid.

                                   *We are learning how to draw our ta mokos for our painting.

                 *I found it tricky because it was so hard to make the lips and the pattern on the ta moko.

              *Next time I would like to get more better at doing my patterns and my lips for my ta moko.

Reading ~ Turning old into new

                                  We are learning how to read while recording on screencastify.

                                        I found it tricky cause it was so hard talking to the mic.

                                                    Next time I want to read longer books.

Blue uniform changes

                    *We are learning to walk down with the little children down to high wire.

          *I found it really exciting about the new changes of our new school uniform and classes.

                    *We are learning what is wood and what is plastic and what is Metal and Clay.

                    *I found it tricky because some of the objects looked like metal and wood.
 
                    *Next time I would like to know more about metal and wood.

Northern Drums

*We are learning about Cook Island cutlure because it is cook island language week.

*I found the drum's loud and they were shaking the ground a bit.

*Next time I would like to learn how to play the ukulele.

*I found scratching the patterns into the clay hard because I was worried I would go through the clay.

*Next time I would like to get better at my patterns.

Cook Island Language

*We are learning Cook Island language's.

*I found it tricky because Cook Island is a different language I can't speak.

*Next time I would like to learn the language and practice over and over.

Northern Stars Netball

*Yesterday we played with the Northern Stars we were playing three kinds of games.

*I found the games easy because I played the games with all my friends.

*Next time I wish we could learn more skills with the Northern Stars.

*I found it tricky because we had to translate it.

*Next time I would like to get more better at my Te Reo Maori.

     * We have been learning line dancing over the term it was fun.
   
     *I found it hard but when we kept doing it I found it easier.

     *Next time if we do it again I will try my best and prove I can do it even if I can do it I want to do it        again.

*We are learning to do digit numbers in our rounding up an down.

*I found it easy because its like subtraction and adding.

*We were learning about Samoa last week we started making a google slide and stared with the greeting.

*I found out that the Samoan flag was adopted on January 1, 1962.

*Next I would like to learn about how to say goodbye in Samoan.

* I liked it when the cook island net ball players come to our school and danced with the Pasifika group .

* I enjoyed watching all the performance group dance and sing and i enjoyed doing the haka.

* I felt pride and I was so happy that the Cook island net ball players come to our school. I felt proud of myself doing the haka.

The worst pizza ever

Today we tried something new.
We marched to Highwire and participated
in a rotation. First we played games.
capture the ball and cat and mouse with chairs.


Then our teacher changed, her smile grew
wicked, the gleam in her eyes was scary.


When I looked down to my pizza I saw something no one would like to look at when they eat on a dinner table.

I saw lots of yucky worms wiggling on top of my burger bun's with hot sauce all over I was about to puke at the moment but then i actually saw chicken feet's I started to turn green and threw away my pizza's.
